Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026. SmartWorks Tech LLC is the controller for MyFavoriteLinks account, support, product-analytics, and advertising-request information unless a separate notice says otherwise.

SmartWorks Tech - MyFavoriteLinks stores account profile details, saved links, groups, views, categories, and To Do items needed to provide the link-management service.

Account Data

Profile fields may include name, email address, optional phone number, optional address, account status, role, login timestamps, confirmation status, and account status flags.

Saved Link Data

Links, categories, views, groups, and optional access notes are stored for the signed-in account and used to render the MyFavoriteLinks dashboard.

Security

Passwords are stored as password hashes. Password reset links are temporary. Administrator access is role-restricted.

Subscription Data

When a user subscribes to Plus, Stripe processes the payment. MyFavoriteLinks stores Stripe customer and subscription references, plan and billing status, renewal and cancellation dates, and limited webhook processing records. It does not store complete payment-card numbers.

Advertising

Free accounts may see clearly labeled SmartWorks Tech or reviewed third-party advertising. We record placement impressions and outbound clicks to report campaign performance. For local and regional delivery, we may use approximate country, state or region, city, and postal-area information supplied by our network provider. Reporting uses an environment-specific hashed visitor identifier for reach and frequency limits; advertisers receive aggregate campaign results and do not receive the identifier, an IP address, or personal link-library data. Advertiser scripts are not installed in the application.

Advertiser Requests

When a prospective advertiser submits a request, we collect its business and contact details, website, requested package, timing, and campaign notes to review eligibility, respond, and administer an approved placement.

Cookies and device storage

Strictly necessary session and security storage supports sign-in, MFA, CSRF protection, account security, and requested service settings. MyFavoriteLinks also stores your privacy preference, including the notice version, analytics choice, and decision time, so the service can honor and demonstrate that choice without storing private link content in the consent record.

Optional Google Analytics is off unless you affirmatively allow it. If allowed, the site loads Google tag ID G-ES8G15NM9J to collect aggregate interaction and device information for service measurement. Google may process this information outside your country under its applicable contractual and transfer safeguards. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent account creation, sign-in, MFA, saving, searching, or opening links.

Use the always-available Cookie settings button to reject optional analytics, make a category choice, or withdraw a previous choice. Withdrawal stops future optional loading on later page views; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. A material notice-purpose change increments the preference version and asks again.

Purposes, legal bases, and retention

We process account and saved-link information to provide the service and perform the user agreement; security and abuse-prevention information for our legitimate interests and legal obligations; optional analytics only with consent where required; and privacy requests to comply with law. Account and link information is retained while the account is active and for a limited period needed for security, dispute, backup, and legal obligations after closure. Support, audit, billing-reference, and consent records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purpose and applicable obligations.

Service providers and international processing

Hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and optional analytics providers process limited information to operate their services. Some processing may occur in the United States or other countries. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we use an available recognized mechanism such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses and assess provider protections.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. These rights can have legal exceptions. Submit an access, correction, deletion, or privacy question through the Contact form using the Privacy Request topic. We verify requests proportionately and respond through the established support process; this notice does not promise an automated self-service export or deletion function.
